The Successful Candidate:
If you are looking for an exciting new place to grow, HBG Design is seeking an experienced Interior Designer I who is a natural self-starter with a positive attitude, the ability to learn from past experiences and mistakes, and an eagerness to actively seek new responsibilities and learning opportunities from more experienced designers. This position requires a passion for design through research, travel, and exposure to trends, products, and spaces. The successful candidate will also possess high level analytical and problem-solving skills.

Position Responsibilities:
\tRegularly monitors and tracks internal deadlines set by the Senior Interior Designer or Project Manager to ensure timely project delivery.
\tDevelop designs with multiple options and differentiations and possess the ability to communicate the differences.
\tWork cooperatively with Project Managers, Senior Interior Designers, and other Interior Designers.
\tInitiate design concepts based on program requirements.
\tBring familiarity of products and vendors, and advanced knowledge of materials.
\tResearch new product ideas and propose FF&E and sustainable selections while working within budget limits.
\tPrepare specifications and presentation boards.
\tParticipate in industry-specific organizations and community/civic events on behalf of the firm, seeking opportunities to expand personal network and gain additional knowledge through mentorship opportunities.
Qualifications:\tRegistered Interior Designer or in the process of pursuing licensure.\tMinimum 3 years practical experience in interior design, preferably in hospitality.
\tBachelors degree from Interior Design/Interior Architecture program.
\tExhibit intermediate knowledge of construction methods, costs, and how it relates to design and FF&E costs.
\tExceptional presentation, interpersonal, and graphic skills.
\tProficiency in Revit, InDesign, Photoshop, and SketchUp software programs is a must.
The Compensation:
$55,000 - $70,000 per year.
Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, regional cost of living, experience, and qualifications.
